botanical extracts (peach leaf, loquat leaf, and Aloe vera);
Dr. Ohhira’s probiotic extract;
octyldodecanol (from coconut oil);
stearyl glycyrhetinate (natural licorice extract);
squalene- used only to extract other ingredients used in product
and Japanese Magoroku (equine oil).
The probiotic extract begins with hand-harvested raw botanical ingredients:
Apricot; Wild Vine; Chinese Matrimony; Mulberry; Sea Tangle; Chinese Cabbage; Oleaster; Plum; Wild Strawberry; Loquat; Mugwort; Brown Seaweed; Shiitake Mushroom; Chinese Bayberry.
These herbals are carefully blended and fermented with our unique E. faecalis TH10 lactic acid bacteria (LAB)—one of the strongest LAB strains available today. The final extract contains the LAB, its nutritious culture medium, and naturally occurring organic acids, amino acids, minerals, and vitamins. This skin care formula is metabolized in highly prized Magoroku oil, which is very similar to the skins own natural oils and allows for deep absorption of the probiotic properties.

- A. Suitable for daily use and appropriate for both body and face, our lotion moisturizes and nourishes while soothing dry, irritated skin. Magoroku Skin Lotion can also be used therapeutically when skin conditions arise.
- Q. Is Magoroku Lotion safe for sensitive skin?
- A. This all-natural, botanical, probiotic moisturizer is ideal for sensitive skin but is suitable for all skin types and is gentle enough for even a newborn’s delicate skin. Reactions to Dr. Ohhira’s products are very rare, but if a reaction occurs, cease use and consult your physician.
- Q. Is the product safe to use if I am allergic to one of the botanicals in the probiotic extract?
- A. Magoroku Skin Lotion contains no known allergens and is guaranteed free of artificial colors, fragrances, stabilizers, deodorants, preservatives, chemicals, and titanium oxide. During the three-year fermentation process the ingredients in the probiotic extract are altered and will have no resemblance to the original allergen. Due to this modification, it is unlikely that the final product will cause an allergic reaction. But, if you are concerned about a reaction, test the lotion under the guidance of your physician.

HONORS AND AWARDS
In 1991, the Japanese Dairy and Food Association honored Dr. Iichiroh Ohhira, for his work as a world-renowned microbiologist and formulator of the E. faecalis TH10 strain of lactic acid bacteria. Dr. Ohhira is a distinguished member of the New York Academy of Sciences and numerous scientific societies in Japan as well as receiving the prestigious Gusi Peace Prize for 2004.
